All of that rain and severe weather that has hammered Texas will be
shifting toward the eastern half of the U.S. in coming days, as the
broad weakness aloft settles in with showers and thunderstorms. A
close look at the tropics reveals a non-threat Invest 92L near the
Azores, but some potential for a deep tropcial moisture fetch
affecting the Eastern Seaboard at some point in the medium range.

Longer term discussion deal with ENSO (it is neutral, NOT and El Nino,
at least yet), and its implications for continued mild temperatures
and potential for severe thunderstorms over the northern half of the
nation. The only real heat threats are in the Southwest and the High
Plains.
